Burgenland
To the west of the country, at the border to Hungary and Slovakia, lies Burgenland, the least densely populated state in Austria. Tyrol
The "Heart of the Alps" is especially know for the famous cities of St. Anton, Kitzbühel and Mayrhofen. Tyrol also includes the Ziller Valley, Arlberg, Kitzbüheler Alps and Lake Achen regions, which boast diverse scenery, including crystal-clear lakes, green meadows, and the typical Tyrolean hospitality.
Upper Austria
Austria's fourth-largest state presents itself as especially diverse. Further inland, surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Dachstein Massive, there are numerous lakes and rivers, wonderful cycling and hiking paths, as well as cultural highlights. Salzburger Land
The Hohen Tauern National Park dominates the south and encompasses beloved holiday regions such as the European Sports Region of Saalbach-Hinterglemm or the Salzburger Sports World Region. Here, one is able to find everything the heart desires: great cycling and hiking trails, swimming possibilities such as Lake Zeller, and fantastic summer festivals.
