The Ziller Valley, or as it is secretly called, the “liveliest valley in the world”, is situated in the heart of Tyrol. Its southern boarder, the Ziller Valley Alps, directly borders Alto Adrige (or South Tyrol). The possibilities in this rather flat valley seem to be endless! So many activities can be found in this unique and very diverse region, that there is something to suit every taste. There are more than 800 km of marked cycling and mountain biking trails, a hiking network 600 km long, countless different (and sometimes guided) adventure hikes, a mini-golf course, pools, lakes, paragliding… Not even skiing is out of reach in the summer here, as the year-round ski area of the Hintertux Glacier offers skiing opportunities even with the warm summer temperatures. Ziller Valley - a heavenly summer treat! Mayrhofen - heavenly summer delight!
Ideally located in the uppermost part of Ziller Valley, Mayrhofen is situated at 630 m above sea level. Fun and relaxation go hand-in-hand here, and the best Ziller Valley cuisine, as well as international dining, is available here. The image of the 3,679 residents’ strong town is distinguished by quaint farms, craftsmanship, luxury hotels and a selection of boutiques, which offer something for every budget. Many sporting activities (swimming in outdoor or indoor pools, bicycling, squash, fishing, hiking along a rich selection of hiking trails), as well as various entertainment programmes and culinary variety, keep guests coming back for more.
