The largest Balearic island, Majorca, lays embedded in the Mediterranean near the western coast of Spain. It is regarded as the most beautiful and varied of the four islands, where everyone's dream holiday comes true. The capital Palma is a particular highlight, with its lovely Old Town and the world-famous cathedral. Long, fine sandy beaches in the north and east invite one to bathe and relax, and are particularly popular with families. Young people and party-lovers gather in the south, whereas the western landscape is rough and bizarrely beautiful. Water sports fans, passionate cyclists and hikers, too, simply have to love Majorca. Last but not least, the Majorcan way of life and outstanding local cuisine turn the Balearic Islands into a veritable holiday experience. Majorca - a Mediterranean holiday paradise!
Paguera and Santa Ponsa are located on the pine-forrested southwestern part of the island. Especially in Paguera, there is a lot of entertainment, as well as numerous bars, discos and restaurants. Enthusiastic shoppers have the opportunity to indulge and shop in the traffic-free pedestrian area. Beach life in Paguera is centred on the main beach in the bay in Palmira. In Santa Ponsa, on the other hand, the fine sandy beach surrounding the Cala Santa Ponca Bay is interspersed with bizarre rocks and is a favourite refuge of bathers. Tourism is centred all around the city centre, behind the beach. A bit further away, one can find luxurious villas and apartment settlements.
